The pre retirement course is split into three main sessions:

Independent Financial Advice, NHS and State Pensions

      and Estate Planning

Independent Financial Advice

When you retire it is likely you will receive a lump sum but do you know how much to take?

Should you take a large lump sum or a smaller amount?

When you get your lump sum what do you do with it to ensure you get the best returns possible?

Should you pay off your mortgage?

Should you take equity release on your property?

Where can you get tax savings ideas?

Do you understand inheritance tax and how it affects you?

You will probably need independent financial advice in relation to one or more of these topics but where can you get that advice and how do you know you are getting the correct advice?

There are many ways to find a financial advisor such as yellow pages or web sites but how do you know they can be trusted?

The independent financial advisors that present at PFA's courses are all regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and have worked with PFA for many years. They will only give the best advice relevant to you and as they are regulated by the FCA you can be assured they are trustworthy.

They will arrange to meet with you, and your partner if required, to discuss your needs and to ascertain if they can be of help to you and if so what their fees will be.

This first meeting is free of charge and if you then do not wish to take matters further you will not be contacted again.
